We are looking for a values-led, resilient, and experienced senior manager who will work with colleagues in the Programme Quality Team and in our global Programmes to identify areas in which IM systems can improve MAG’s ability to manage, monitor and evaluate our work, and ensure that Programmes have appropriate support and guidance on how to embed these systems into the Programme structure, and that align with overall strategic objectives at country, regional and organistional level.

Managing a team of 2 staff you will oversee four critical areas that support MAG’s mission and the delivery of our organisational strategy. These are Design and delivery of IM systems, identifying any gaps and needs; Team management and programme support, offering strong leadership across you direct team, whilst developing and delivering on training and mentoring plans to relevant staff; Representation and liaison, building on a network of relationships in MAG and wider humanitarian sector; Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation, playing a key role in integrating MAG’s information management systems to any emerging MEAL framework.

About you:

You will have an extensive background in implementing and managing IM/GIS projects, including field experience in all relevant IM/GIS operational approaches and methodologies. You will also hold demonstrable experience interfacing with Information Management System for Mine Action (“IMSMA”), as well as national authorities.

The ideal candidate will hold strong technical knowledge of Esri’s ArcGIS Platforms (ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online), be fluent in English, and a strong track record in managing a global team.

This is a newly established role, and as such an initial objective will to be to assess progress to date on the rollout of MAG’s Operational Management Information System (OMIS), current capacity and structure, and identify key next steps and resourcing needs to meet objectives and contractual requirements in the short, medium and long term. Successful candidates invited to interview should be prepared to discuss their thoughts and actions surrounding this goal.
